Sonejuhi Sinha


Sonejuhi is an Indian American, bicoastal filmmaker, who grew up in Northern India until the age of thirteen. Sonejuhi got her start in the industry working as a film editor for the internationally renowned editorial company Final Cut. She has edited several music videos for MTV and MTV2 UK, narrative short films that have premiered at various film festivals. Sonejuhi’s directing career began with a narrative short film called "Give into the Night," and then "Love Comes Later." WW had the privilege of showcasing her short "Miles of Sand" last year. Sonejuhi sticks a knife into the hard underbelly of the American Dream and draws fresh blood from familiar territory in her stylish feature debut STRAY DOLLS. The thriller, co-starring Cynthia Nixon, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival to positive buzz and announces Sinha as a new director with a topical and urgent political voice.
