KD Davíla

K.D. Dávila is a Chicana writer/director from Los Angeles. She holds a BA in Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University and an MFA in Screenwriting from USC. She wrote EMERGENCY, winner of Best Narrative Short at SXSW 2018 and the Special Jury Award at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. She was recently a Staff Writer on CBS‘ summer sci-fi show Salvation, and just wrapped the room as a Story Editor on an upcoming genre television series. She is currently writing the feature version of EMERGENCY, and is prepping her directorial debut PLEASE HOLD, a short film she co-wrote with her husband Levin Menekse.
