Hagar is an Israeli filmmaker whose newest film, DEAD WOMEN WALKING, was conceived of as nine vignettes that depict the stages leading to execution for female death row inmates. The film, which is in English and stars American actors, had its world premiere at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival to critical acclaim. It will next screen at the Venice Film Festival in September. Her feature debut, THE SLUT, which she directed, wrote, and starred in, premiered at La Semaine de la Critique in Cannes 2011 and was distributed worldwide.
