Allie Avital

Allie is a New York-born and raised director. Her video for Moses Sumney “Quarrel” won the Jury Recognition Award at SXSW in 2019. Her work has been been Vimeo Staff Picked eight times, featured in the New York Times, NPR, Nowness, Buzzfeed, PromoNews, "best of" lists, has been nominated for Camerimage (Best Music Video and Best Cinematography), and the UKMVAs (‘18,‘17). Her work has screened at SXSW Competition (Jury Recognition Award ‘19, ‘18), Sundance NEXT, BAM Cinemas, IFC, BUG, Havana Film Festival, Picture Farm Film Festival, and many more. Allie’s short film “The Naked Woman” premiered on NoBudge in June 2019. She is in early pre-production for her debut feature film of the same name, which she recently developed as part of the Venice Biennale Cinema College program and will shoot in early 2020.
