Rungano Nyoni (LISTEN)

Rungano Nyoni’s films have screened at more than 200 film festivals world-wide. In 2012, her most recent short, MWANSA THE GREAT, was nominated for an African Academy Award and a BAFTA. Hamy Ramezan is a Finnish-Iranian film director and scriptwriter. Their short, 'Listen' was theWinner of the “Best Narrative Short” award at Tribeca Film Festival. 'Listen' is the story of a Muslim woman who is unable to fully communicate her need for protection due to the assignment of a translator with their own agenda.
