Nia is a writer and director based in NYC. Her debut feature LITTLE WOODS, a modern Western set in a struggling North Dakota oil boom town, stars Lily James and Tessa Thompson. LITTLE WOODS was developed through The Sundance Institute and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival 2018 and won The Nora Ephron Award for excellence in storytelling by a woman writer and or director, embodying the spirit and boldness of the late filmmaker. It will open worldwide this April. Nia was most recently tapped to helm CANDYMAN, a new retelling of the classic horror pic with Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld, and MGM producing.
