In the past five years, Nora has created series for Hulu, Comedy Central, and CBS, directing projects for ABC, Hulu, Amazon and FunnyOrDie. In 2020, she became the first woman ever to direct a campaign for Bud Light. In 2021, Nora signed on to direct her first feature length film, a high-school coming of age comedy, KISSING EZRA HOLTZ, for Amazon, and her second feature, FURTHER TO GO, a surreal drama about a down and out musician in Los Angeles, for STX.


In 2020, she was a writer on two new Amazon series. DAISY JONES AND THE SIX, produced by Reese Witherspoon, and RODEO QUEENS, the forthcoming series starring Dakota Johnson. She has also created a fifteen-episode murder mystery, THE COOP, for Eko and FunnyOrDie, guest starring Tony Hale, Bobby Moynihan and Margaret Cho, a sitcom for CBS, ASSISTED LIVING, produced by Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum, and a half-hour comedy, BEST SELLER, produced by Olivia Wilde, for Comedy Central. She also created and directed DOOR NO. 1, a first of its kind live-action VR comedy, starring Snoop Dogg and Ravi Patel, for Hulu.


Recently, Nora directed a pilot, ROYALTIES, starring Emmy and Golden Globe winner Darren Criss, and directed an episode of THE GOLDBERGS on ABC. Nora was also a founding member and accordion player for the band EDWARD SHARPE AND THE MAGNETIC ZEROS, with whom she toured for seven years, winning a GRAMMY, and playing Letterman, Conan, Kimmel, Coachella, and Lallapalooza among others.


Her short films have played over fifty film festivals all over the world garnering many awards, including Best Female Director at the Prague International Film Festival (2020), a Vimeo Staff Pick, and several Grand Jury Prizes. Nora has played many roles in film and TV, including THE OFFICE, GREEK, and JENNIFER FALLS. She grew up in rural Iowa, and graduated from UCLA’s school of theater, film and television.
